At its core, the work is about treating Southeast Asian culture not as a museum exhibit, but as raw data. We apply a logic of sampling to the visual noise of the tropics.
If a human artist studies 10,000 photos to learn a style, it's called inspiration. If a machine does it, it's called a statistical model. The mechanism is different, but the urge is the same.
We are interested in the glitch that happens in between. The moment where the local aesthetic gets crushed, compressed, and re-exported as something familiar but alien.
We don't steal culture. We remix the frequency.
We sample the DNA of Jakarta and Bangkok. The specific grain of the asphalt, the way light hits a 7-Eleven at 3AM.
Taking hyper-local references—school uniforms, street food stalls, damp walls—and forcing them into new, synthetic contexts.
The magic is in the collision. High-gloss advertising aesthetics smashed against the gritty, lo-fi reality of the street.
This is a testing ground. A venue to see what sticks before we deploy it into actual commercial projects.
